The Stree 4 story of Mandrath begins from an old hill village, where she was known as a simple woman. She was extremely devoted to her family and village. But her peace did not last long. One day some outsiders came to the village, who did not have good intentions towards Mandrath. They exploited Mandrath and isolated her from the society. Burning in the fire of anger and revenge, Mandrath gave up her life under a mysterious black tree outside the village. It is said that her soul remained attached to the same tree and from that day Mandrath became a spirit.
The terror of Mandrath – Stree 4
The spirit of Mandrath took a terrifying form. She decided that she would take revenge on all the men who tortured women. After a time, men started going missing one after the other in the village. An atmosphere of fear prevailed among the people. The elderly women of the village warned that all this was the work of Mandrath’s spirit. They used to say that Mandrath attracts those men every night who do not respect women and then takes them with her.
The terror of Mandrath gradually spread to the surrounding villages. People named her ‘Mandrath Stree’ and started avoiding going to the village where her spirit resided. It is believed that Mandrath’s spirit gets peace only when she takes her revenge on every man.
Mandrath and his strength – Stree 4
The spirit of Mandrath had powers which no ordinary spirit has. She had the power to hypnotize her victims. She knew their weakness and used it as a weapon to trap them in her net. Many people had tried to put an end to his terror, but no one could defeat him. Mandrath had so much power that he could enter any body and achieve his goal.
Stree 4 A Siddha Baba in the village prophesied that there was only one way to stop Mandrath – a special Puja. But this Puja was not so easy. It required a holy soul, who could overcome Mandrath’s malice and anger. For this reason, no one had been able to complete this Puja till now.
Confronting Mandrath – Stree 4
Now, the story takes a new turn when some young people, who consider Mandrath’s stories a mere superstition, visit the village. They think that all this is just a story made up to scare people. But as they reach near that black tree, they realize that Mandrath’s spirit is not just a story.
One of the young men, whose mother had once helped Mandrath, has a strange experience. He sees Mandrath getting attracted to him. The young man’s mother tells him that if Mandrath is to be given peace, he must remove the anger and vengeance from his heart. He must make him understand that not every man is what he thought.
Freeing Mandrath
The young man listens to his mother and surrenders to Mandrath. He convinces Mandrath that his soul must now be freed from this fire of vengeance. He succeeds in convincing him that his vengeance has caused him more pain. Mandrath’s soul finally finds peace, and slowly leaves the village.
The villagers consider this incident a miracle and look at Mandrath’s story in a new light. Mandrath’s name is no longer taken as just a horror story, but as a warning to never allow injustice to be done to women in society.
